“UNTIL YOU HAVE LOVED AN ANIMAL, A PART OF YOUR SOUL REMAINS UNAWAKENED” unknown
From Mexico to Central and South America, the Caribbean, the Middle and Far East, we tirelessly champion the rights of companion animals, whether homeless or not, promoting the cultural change necessary so that dogs and cats may eventually live the pain free existence they deserve. Living instead of simply existing, invisible on the streets of impoverished communities all over the developing world.
This is the organization that partnered with Laura and others in setting up a free spay/neuter clinic along the Ballena Coast in Costa Rica, where Laura lived.
Founded in 1866 on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans, and must be protected under the law, the ASPCA maintains a strong local presence with programs that extend their anti-cruelty mission across the country.
